Hi, I'm Prashant Ambe, and I created CrypticLive.
I'm a retired software executive by background and have spent much of my career building software and technology products.
CrypticLive is a project I decided to build because I've always enjoyed puzzles and the challenge of solving cryptic clues.
I wanted to create something that makes cryptics a little more approachable - giving people a new clue every day, with
progressive hints and explanations when they get stuck, and a Guide & Practice section for those who want to learn.
Why is it free?
CrypticLive is a personal project, and I'm covering the costs of building and running it myself. There is no paywall,
no advertising, and no plan to sell user data.
I'm building it because I enjoy it and because I want more people to discover and enjoy cryptic clues. My goal is to make
CrypticLive a fun little part of someone's daily routine, not to build a business around selling their information.
Why an account?
An account allows CrypticLive to remember your progress, maintain your streak, and keep track of your solving statistics
across devices. There's no password to remember—you simply use your email address to sign in.
We don't sell or share your email address or personal information with advertisers or data brokers.
I'm continuing to develop CrypticLive and add features based on feedback from people who use it.
